Talimena State Park
Talimena State Park marks the Oklahoma entrance to the Talimena National Scenic Byway, a winding road through the Winding Stair Mountains that is known for spectacular spring and fall foliage. Hiking and backpacking trails throughout the Ouachita National Forest begin at Talimena State Park and offer a wide range of scenic, wooded terrain. Dirt bikes and ATVs are permitted in the park as an entrance point to the national forest lands. View off-road vehicle trail maps here.
Talimena State Park offers 10 RV sites with 30 amp electricity and water hookups, seven designated tent campsites with pads and many other available areas suitable for tents. Picnic facilities include a pavilion with water and electric, extra-large grills and six tables. There are also fire rings, a playground, hiking trails and a comfort station with showers available within the park. A small gift shop is located on-site. Reservations for campsites are accepted by calling the park office.
Tent sites: $14
RV sites with electric & water hookups: $22
Premium sites: Additional $5
A $5 fee is added when available firewood is used.
Pavilion rental (includes water, electric, extra large grills and six tables): $45 per day
Senior Discounts for Campsites:
The senior discount is currently $2 off the daily published rate for designated standard RV and tent campsites. Utility fees are not discounted.
Total disability discount is currently 50% of the base rate for designated standard RV and tent campsites. Utility and premium campsite fees are not discounted.
Senior discounts are also offered on other recreational features.
