Description

“Eclectic” and “barbecue” are two words that don’t normally go hand in hand, but they do at Wagg’s. The décor is quirky and interesting, and it gives you plenty to look at while you’re putting away some of the finest ribs and brisket in the state – along with catfish, shrimp and more – in a building that served as an auto assembly plant in the early 20th century.  Staying with the decor theme, the salad bar is served in a 1929 Ford.

Stopped in for lunch on our way to Alabaster Caverns State Park...The service was good, the food was good, bathrooms were clean...I'd stop in again. It seems to be a local's favorite too so I am sure it gets busy during Friday and Saturday evenings when they offer Prime Rib, ref. P.Foster on 11/06/2010 review. I recommend giving it a try.

From P. Foster on 11/06/2010

My husband and I went here for dinner one evening. I ordered the prime rib while my husband ordered the rib eye. The food was absolutely terrible! My food tasted like an old work boot while my husband's could barely chew. The service was also horrible! It took almost 15 minutes just go get our menus...then almost another just to get our drinks. When we were finally able to get our waitresses attention with our problem she acted as if we were crazy! I will NEVER go to this restaurant again!
