The spectacular sunsets alone are enough to enjoy a meal at the White Dog, positioned as it is atop a rising plain with an unimpeded view that stretches for miles. But owner Nelson King has also put together a first-class eatery in the native red stone clubhouse of the former Clinton Country Club, complete with a sprawling deck from which to view those sunsets. Succulent steaks, juicy fowl and imaginative salads made only from the freshest ingredients await you at the White Dog. The landscape and wonderful food isn't the only thing visitors have seen; it seems that a ghost named Dottie also inhabits the historic Clinton Country Club building.
