Oklahoma City - On Thursday, May 26, 2011, from 7:00-9:00pm, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Associate Board presents "Violins & Vino: An Adult Beginners Violin Lesson and Cocktail Party" at the IAO Gallery at 706 West Sheridan on historic Film Row.

Oklahoma City Philharmonic cellist, Doroty Hays provides a beginner's lesson to the first 20 participants to sign up. Following the 45 minute lesson, participants will perform the two songs they learn for their group of friends and peers who have attended. During the lesson, all other attendees enjoying a silent auction, wine, and hors d'oeuvres provided by Iguana Mexican Grill.

The event proceeds benefit the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and bring attention to the Philharmonic's adult education programs including "Be The Orchestra" upon which Violins & Vino is modeled.

Tickets for lessons are only $25 for a 45 minute lesson (instrument provided) or $10 to attend and watch the performance. Two glasses of wine and hors d'oeuvres inlcuded with either ticket.
