OKLAHOMA CITY, September 8, 2011—Tickets go on sale today for the Taste of Bricktown, an outdoor festival featuring some of the best restaurants and entertainment Oklahoma City has to offer.
Sponsored by Oklahoma’s Chevy Team Dealers, the event is scheduled from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, at the RedHawks Ballpark. Participants will have the opportunity to sample food and beverages from 20 Bricktown restaurants and enjoy an array of family-friendly entertainment.
Bricktown Association Executive Director Jeannette Smith said the Taste of Bricktown is back due to popular demand after a three-year hiatus.
“Bricktown has long been a favorite destination for food, refreshments and entertainment,” Smith said. “During the Taste of Bricktown, we’re bringing together the best of what we have to offer all in one spot for a spectacular festival-like experience that is sure to delight attendees of all ages.”
The Taste of Bricktown will feature live music from Chevy Bricktown Showcase artists Clancy Davis, Matt Stansberry and O'Fidelis. Children’s entertainment will include popular entertainer Spaghetti Eddie, face painting, caricature drawings and Chester the Clown.
In addition, children will be invited to shoot hoops with Rumble the Bison from the Oklahoma City Thunder, run bases with Cooper and Ruby from the Oklahoma City RedHawks, and try their hand at street hockey with Derek and the Ice Girls from the Oklahoma City Barons.
