Bright Night of CSI: Museum Style Provides All Night Stake Out for Kids
By Tourism Industry Partner
OKLAHOMA CITY – Science Museum Oklahoma is putting out a brief to all junior detectives: “Help us solve a crime!” It’s part of the Museum’s Bright Night of CSI: Museum Style, an overnight event taking place December 10.
“Crime solving is the name of the game for December 10 and we need your help,” said Drew Smith, Bright Night Coordinator at Science Museum Oklahoma. “A slew of sketchy characters in a museum is a recipe for disaster and we need detectives to help us bring justice through science!”
The Bright Night of CSI: Museum Style starts at 6:00 p.m. and lasts until 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Activities last late into the night with hands-on experiments that focus on crime scene investigation. Guests can take part in everything from fingerprinting to extracting the DNA of a banana.
“Oklahoma is a leader in the forensic sciences with talented organizations like Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, and the University of Central Oklahoma Forensic Science Institute,” said Bret Mahoney, Academic Networking Coordinator at Science Museum Oklahoma. “Activities like the Bright Night of CSI: Museum Style serve as an opportunity to cultivate a new generation of crime solvers and keep Oklahoma on the forefront of law enforcement. Plus it is as fun as a barrel full of crime-solving monkeys!”
The Bright Night of CSI: Museum Style is $45 for general admission with discounts available for military, teachers and State of Oklahoma employees. For more information on this and other events at Science Museum Oklahoma or to register guests can call 405-602-3760, or visit www.sciencemuseumok.org for more information.
