“Camp Cute ‘n Spooky” Returns to Discoveryland!
By Tourism Industry Partner
Discoveryland!, nationally recognized for its award-winning family
entertainment, will be transformed for its ninth consecutive year into a
fun-filled, non-scary Halloween event for children ages 10 and under called
“Camp Cute’n Spooky!”
“Camp Cute ’n Spooky” features all kinds of exciting Halloween activities,
attractions and entertainment located throughout the colorfully lighted and decorated
Camp activities include the spectacular “Enchanted Forest,” “Spooky’s Fun
Maze,” Children’s Tent Theatre, pony rides, Jupiter Jump, pumpkin and face
painting, Monster Mash Dance Stage and “The Boo! Barn.”
“Certainly one of the highlights of Camp Cute ‘n Spooky is The
Enchanted Forest!” said Bill Jeffers, Discoveryland!’s Managing Director.
“Small groups of children are led down a non-scary trail into a
spectacularly-lighted area with huge trees called ‘The Enchanted Forest.’ There,
they meet a host of friendly, non-scary costumed characters who treat them to
candy and other treats.
“Additionally, our big ‘Family Bon Fire’ has become the ‘heart’ of Camp
Cute ‘n Spooky. Families gather around the fire to experience a special time
together while enjoying ‘smores, hot chocolate, hot dogs, funnel cakes, fried Oreos
and other seasonal foods and desserts!” added Jeffers.
Returning for 2010 – Discoveryland!’s new Tent Theater will present
continuous musical vignettes featuring “Dorothy and the Scarecrow” from
“The Wizard of Oz!”
