We want to invite you to encounter a Cherokee history experience like no other.  The Cherokee Heritage Center is proud to host the annual Indian Territory Days on March 24 & 25, 2011.

This school geared event takes place in the 1890's in our Adams Corner Rural Village where your students will get a glimpse of Cherokee lifestyle with a variety of hands-on activities and cultural games for students of all ages.  Students can shoot a blow gun, play stickball, learn Cherokee weaving, examine the techniques of the pinch pot and Cherokee baskets and hear traditional Cherokee storytellers.  Students can also purchase rock candy or root beer from our General Store.

Registration is recommended.  Admission is $5 per student with chaperoning adults admitted for free.  Registration begins at 9:30 with events taking place from 10 AM - 2 PM.  All events are replic ated on both days to accommodate for your school's busy schedule.  Schools are asked to provide their own lunches but

there are plenty of picnic tables throughout our grounds.  For more information or to register your school, please contact the Cherokee Heritage Center's Education department at:  888-999-6007.
