"Christmas in the Park" Offers Holiday Fun in Yukon
By Tourism Industry Partner
It’s time again for Yukon’s breathtaking Christmas in the Park magical wonderland of yuletide visual entertainment that is offered from 6 to 11 p.m. every night from Saturday, Nov. 20 through New Year’s Eve.
Each year, about 55,000 vehicles drive through Christmas in the Park which features three interconnecting parks totaling 100 decorated acres. Motorists drive their personal vehicles along lighted paths where they can view four million Christmas lights and 300 one of a kind Christmas displays. The decorations are updated annually and the tour has become a regional favorite. Tour buses are welcome and self guided walking tours are enjoyed by many. Horse drawn wagon rides are available most nights, as well as rides on the Santa Express Train, weather permitting.
Christmas in the Park is located just minutes from Oklahoma City on I-40 West. Take Exit 137 to find the main park entrance. Go west on NW 10th street to Holly and turn right. As you go west on Holly, you will quickly see the Colossal Christmas Tree welcoming you to the main Christmas in the Park entrance at Yukon City Park, 2200 S. Holly.
The tour continues at Freedom Trail Playground, 2101 S Holly, which is directly north of Yukon City Park. From there, go further north on Holly a few blocks to see Chisholm Trail Park’s entrance at 500 W Vandament. Each of the three parks offer unique displays that collectively create an amazing holiday wonderland.
Admission to Christmas in the Park is free and donations are merrily accepted at the exits. Funds raised help sponsor the annual event. Don't miss your chance to see this amazing holiday light display with new additions each year!
