About Danny, King of the Basement

In two years, Danny and his Mom, Louise, have moved eight times because there's never enough money to pay the rent. Far from losing hope, Danny makes friends by inspiring the kids around him to turn every challenge into a game. When Danny moves into a basement apartment on upscale Clinton Street, he finds his new friends may have more material things than he does, but they too have problems of their own.

Danny's imagination creates a sense of community that allows his friends to cope with their problems and ultimately help Danny when he needs them the most. Despite the adversity he faces, Danny takes on each new challenge creatively and with an energetic spirit, inspiring everyone he meets with his positive outlook, generosity, and humor.

Tickets to the play are $10; reserved seating is available. OCCC Cultural Arts Series subscribers may purchase tickets to this event at a reduced price. To purchase tickets, please call (405) 682-7579, or visit the OCCC Office of Cultural Programs (1G1A – MB), just inside SEM Entry 1.
