Duncan Offers New Fall Events

The 9th Annual Rising Stars Calf Roping contest will be held on, November 25-28,at the Stephens County Fair & Expo Center, Duncan, OK. This Premier Calf Roping event has over 500 of the most talented ropers from the U.S. (including NFR qualifiers heading to Vegas) from 17 different states with National Sponsors and Support from USCRA and Pro Rodeo Hall of Famers. The Glow of Christmas Candlelight Tour will be held on, November 26-27, 2010, 1:00 pm-6:00 pm at the Foreman Prairie House, Duncan, OK. The tour has re-enactors telling about their life in the Foreman Home between 1918 and 1941. Santa photo options and storytelling 'round the fire for the children. The Annual Christmas Parade will be held on, December 4, 2010 at 3:00pm, on Mainstreet, Duncan, OK. The Annual Main Street Duncan Christmas parade will begin at 3:00 pm Saturday, December 4th. Theme: 'A Storybook Christmas' decorate your float according to your favorite Christmas Story. Please pre-register at the Main Street office or by calling 580-252-8696. Cash prizes awarded. The 4th Annual Gingerbread Dough event will be held on, December 4, 2010 at 5:30pm, Mainstreet, Duncan, OK. It will be directly after the Christmas Parade on Main Street Saturday, December 4th, adults 18 and over will gather in the 800 block of Main Street. Ping Pong balls will be thrown into the crowd worth cash and prizes. Prizes worth over $5,000 in cash and gift certificates; with one ball worth $500 in cash. Only one ball may be redeemed per person and you MUST be over 18 to catch or redeem balls. No children are allowed in the street in the 800 block of Main; they must be on the sidewalk.
