Silent Movie Night – January 21st
Another Silent Movie Night is scheduled for January as the Sooner State Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society will be featuring the 1921 film 'The Three Musketeers' with Douglas Fairbanks as D'Artagnan. It will be accompanied by Bill Rowland at the console of the mighty theatre pipe organ. This was one of the first of Fairbanks' 'swashbucklers' and is full of action in 17th-Century France. Showtime is 7:00 PM, Friday, January 21 and the venue is the Tulsa Technology Center, Broken Arrow campus at 4600 South Olive Avenue (129th E. Ave [Olive St.] and 111th St [Florence St.]). Free admission, popcorn, and lemonade as always.

Daddy Daughter Dance – Saturday, February 12th
Do something special this year with your daughter by attending our Daddy/Daughter dance. This is the 5th year we have hosted this event. On Saturday, February 12th 2011 the City of Broken Arrow Parks Department will host its annual Daddy/Daughter Dance. This year the theme for the dance will be a Sock-Hop, which will be very casual. We try to hold the event as close to Valentine’s Day as we can. It’s really awesome to see these dads with their daughter having a good time. This year the dance will be at Nienhuis Park Community Center 3201 N. 9th from 6:00p-8:00p. Tickets are on sale now at both community centers, Central Park at 1500 S. The Spencer’s – Friday, March 4th
Theatre of Illusion is a spectacular production filled with magic and mystery. The husband and wife team of The Spencer’s use world-class charisma to penetrate through walls, levitate and more in a show that combines drama, comedy, romance and suspense. The Spencers have been described as “Modern Day Houdini’s” by their critics and peers. They will be in Broken Arrow several days before their performance, visiting schools and rehabilitation clinics. Broken Arrow Historical Museum – DVD Premiere
The Broken Arrow Historical Society recently completed a project which documents the history of Broken Arrow on DVD. More information about the DVD is available here. The premiere of this documentary will be at the Broken Arrow PAC on February 26th. Doors will open at 6:30pm and Dr. Oliver will introduce the movie starting at 7:00pm. Tickets are $15 and will be available through the PAC ticket office in approx 10 days.
