Grand Lake Area Chamber Announces Art Contest at Hook N Cookoff
By Tourism Industry Partner
The 18th Annual and 10th National Hook-N-Cook off will have an addition attraction this year, a Kindergarten through 12th Grade Art Contest.
“This is an opportunity for any public, private or homeschooled student to draw and/or color a picture of what that they think represents Grand Lake,” said Tad Jones with the Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. “Any student is welcome to present their artwork.”
The contest will have winners from each grade, Kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. The art will be displayed at the Hook-N-Cook off, which will be held at Pelican Landing Resort on September 24th from 9:30-3:30.
The top three winners from each grade will have their artwork displayed at the State Capitol in Oklahoma City and other artwork will be displayed at local area Chamber member businesses.
The students need to do the Artwork on an 8 ½” x 11” piece of paper and then turn it in to the Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce by September 19th. The artwork should be representative of something concerning Grand Lake. Students need to put their name, school or contact Information and Grade level on the back of the picture. Teachers are encouraged to have their students participate.
Artwork can either be mailed to GLACC, Art Contest, PO Box 215, Langley, OK 74350 or it can be dropped off at the Chamber office located in the GRDA EcoSystems building in Langley.
All artists that have an entry will also receive a FREE ticket to the Hook-N-Cook off.
Teachers of the winning students will also be recognized.
