The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art will be hosting Off the Wall 2012, a fun, fast-paced way to receive great Oklahoma art and support the museum, on Saturday, March 31, at 6:30 p.m.

For $50, you receive admission for two to the event and one ticket for a piece of art by an Oklahoma artist or an artist friend of the Museum.  The evening starts at 6:30 p.m. with traditional and folk musical entertainment by Lanny Fiegenschuh and Ray Wyssman. You may also enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks, as well as homemade desserts provided by the MGMoA volunteers.

At 7:30 p.m., the pace speeds up with the drawings for the artworks which include paintings, sketches, lithographs, photographs, pottery and other works of art created by local artists.  Special guest, Dr. David Byland, Associate Professor of Telecommunications at Oklahoma Baptist University, will emcee the event.

Each time a ticket is drawn, you will have just 30 seconds to choose a piece of art "off the wall." If you want a better chance to get the art piece that you especially like, the $50 ticket may be upgraded by paying $25 or $50 more.  Random drawings begin with the upgraded $100 "Eat-my-dust" tickets.  To purchase a ticket, visit www.mgmoa.org/offthewall or call (405) 878-5300. All proceeds benefit the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art 2012-2013 Special Exhibition Season.

The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is located on the campus of St. Gregory's University, 1900 W. MacArthur St. in Shawnee.
