Macho Art Highlighted by Pauls Valley Art Council
By Tourism Industry Partner
The Pauls Valley Arts Council is hosting a themed art show, The Man Art Show, on Saturday, April 2nd from 10am to 4pm and Sunday, April 3rd from 1pm to 3pm. There will also be an opening reception on Friday, April 1st from 6pm to 9pm. The show will be held at the Paul Valley Arts & Cultural Center at the corner of Walnut and Paul Streets in downtown Pauls Valley.
The show is open to all artists statewide, even those who consider themselves “non-artists,” in all media (Sculpture, Welding, Painting, Etc.). The theme of the show is based on what each person considers as “Manly” or “Macho” art. It is the hope of the Pauls Valley Arts Council that those people making art out of their workshops, garages, or back yards will enter the show and share their unique brand of art. The show is open to persons of all skill levels and is not limited to men only. Women are welcome to enter the show with their own take on what they consider to be “Man Art.”
Entries may be dropped off at Stark Art Gallery (211 S. Chickasaw, Pauls Valley, OK) on Monday, March 28th through Wednesday, March 30th - 9am to 5pm each day. There is a $15. entry fee and all art must be accompanied by the artist’s name and contact information and ready for exhibition.
