Marilyn and George Winter Present an Evening of Jazz and Big Band
By Tourism Industry Partner
Live music performance set at Will Rogers Memorial
Enjoy an evening of jazz and big band sounds Saturday, March 19, in the Will Rogers Memorial Museum auditorium.
Marilyn and George Minter will share their many years of experience in the music industry during the 7 p.m. performance. Tickets are $5 each and available at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum store, 918-343-8115.
While living in the Washington, D.C., area Marilyn, a Nebraska native, appeared in Blues Alley and worked with many of the leading D.C. orchestras.
George, a Texan, was in the 1 O’clock Lab Band at North Texas University, which attracts jazz musicians from all over the world. While in the Fourth Army Band, he wrote arrangements for Vic Damone and other singers.
Technology has allowed them flexibility to expand and include arrangements for big band and orchestra sounds in their keyboard and jazz vocals.
