“This summer in Oklahoma has been a prime environment for high ozone levels,” said Suzette Ellison, Vice President of Programs and Interpretation. “Hot temperatures, sustained sunshine with little cloud cover and calm winds make the perfect equation for Mother Nature be even more exposed to pollutants produced by the hustle and bustle of Oklahoma City.”

On the third Friday of September METRO Transit passengers will receive a Buy One General Admission Get One Free General Admission Coupon to Science Museum Oklahoma just for riding the bus. According to METRO Transit each bus has the potential to take 35 cars off the road, greatly reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

“We feel this is a great opportunity for Science Museum Oklahoma to encourage OKC residents to be good stewards to our city and environment.” said Melody Muniz, Guest Relations Manager. “The impact we have on our environment is profound and any opportunity to encourage Oklahoma City residents to move in a positive direction we are excited to be a part of.”
