All activities will be held in the new Bearskin Wellness Center Gymnasium with the exception of Paul Barton's two sessions and the Tuesday and Wednesday night dinners. The two sessions pertaining to Traditional Songs and Dances along with the two dinners will be held in the Artie Nesvold building, also known as the Title VI building. "Booger Red" Marker Dedication Ceremony at G.A.R. Cemetery

Booger Red was a famous bronc rider, wild west show owner, and Cowboy Hall of Fame inductee. He was buried in G.A.R. Cemetery in an unmarked grave in 1924. Due to recent interest in Booger Red and his story, a marker was finally placed on his grave. This ceremony is being conducted to honor his memory and dedicate the recently placed marker.

G.A.R. Cemetery History Tour

The public is invited to attend the first G.A.R. Cemetery History Tour. A walking tour brochure will be available that details the history of many individuals who are interred at the cemetery. Maps will be provided with the location of each grave. There will also be transportation available if a guided tour is preferred. Many members of the community will be present to tell the stories of the individuals whose lives are being highlighted. Since 1892, G.A.R. has served as the final resting place for many Ottawa County residents.
