By Tourism Industry Partner
(Oklahoma City, OK— December 29, 2010) – Born in Oklahoma 41 years ago the IFR crowns the World Champions of the IPRA at the State Fair Arena, January 14-16, 2011.
The IPRA is the rodeo industries second largest cowboy and cowgirl association with over 300 rodeos in 30 states and Canada. It is no accident that the IFR is known as the rodeo “Where Legends Begin.” Some who have competed at the IFR – Terry Don West, Dan Dailey, Speed Williams, Roy Duvall and Betty Roper. Las Vegas plays host to the WNFR and has been good for the sport, but it is Oklahoma City that is first and foremost with western roots.
