Orr Family Farm Adds Zip Line to List of Activities
By Tourism Industry Partner
(OKLAHOMA CITY) - Get ready for a thrilling ride on the new four-lane zip line at the Orr Family Farm in Oklahoma City. The Orr Family Farm will be open for spring break and reveal Oklahoma City's only zip line March 15-19. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and a special admission price for spring break is just $10.50.
The brand-new zip line features an enclosed starting deck standing 20 feet tall with centrally located stairs as well as a roof and a safe, railed landing deck. Four lanes are available to accommodate multiple riders. While riders race against each other, top speeds can reach 25 miles per hour. The zip line offers both an adventurous ride and a spectacular view of the Farm.
Trained professionals assist riders with technique, equipment and skills. Prior to riding, participants practice on a miniature zip line to ensure safety and proper use. Riders must weigh at least 70 pounds to participate.
The Orr Family Farm has an impressive list of activities for all ages to enjoy. Visitors can take a ride around the Farm on a replica of the United States' first transcontinental locomotive, visit friendly animals in the barn, test their racing skills on the pedal cars or race against the clock in the 4,900 square-foot Amaze'n Maze. Also, ride the 1974 vintage carousel, jump on the jumping pillows and mine for gemstones in the Neal Simpson Mine.
The Orr Family Farm is an agri-tainment experience created to provide families, groups and school children a glimpse of their heritage, history and good old-fashioned values. For more information about The Orr Family Farm visit www.orrfamilyfarm.com or call 405-799-3276.
