“The New Year’s olive drop event is something that’s unique to Bartlesville and we’re proud to be a part of that tradition,” said Tim Boruff, executive director of Price Tower Arts Center. “It’s a great event. In my opinion there isn’t a better way to celebrate the New Year than by enjoying it at Price Tower, one of the most iconic buildings of the 20th century.”

This year’s special dinner will be catered by Lionfish Gourmet Catering who will be providing a four course dinner, including hors d’oeuvres, salad, your choice of beef tenderloin in red claret sauce accented with peppercorns or a salmon filet broiled on cedar plank with lemon browned butter sauce, and your choice of soufflé or petit fours for dessert..

Dinner seating for guests is at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. and Copper Bar will be open to the public throughout the evening. Dinner guests will also be provided champagne and party favors for the celebration and entertained by a pianist from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

After enjoying dinner and live entertainment everyone is encouraged to join the evening’s main event just before midnight as the olive drops into the giant martini glass at the bottom of Price Tower ushering in the year 2012. Watching the olive drop is free and open to the public and all are invited to take part.

Stay the night so you don’t have to drive after the festivities in the eclectic Inn at Price Tower hotel and wake up to downtown Bartlesville’s sunrise in 2012.
