Muskogee OK – The Muskogee Bedouin Shriner’s present the very first “Rumble on the River” Concert featuring “INFINITY” at Three Forks Harbor on Saturday, May 14th at 7:00pm. Three Forks Harbor is on the Arkansas River and will be the perfect setting for an outdoor summer concert. This concert is open to the public with an affordable $15 per person fee. All proceeds benefit the Muskogee Bedouin Shrine.
INFINITY is a classic rock band out of Tulsa Oklahoma. This five-member band blends the melodic, vocal harmonies and the most solid musical riffs as produced by some of the biggest names in Rock & Roll. They feature songs from Journey, Boston, Styx, Kansas, Foreigner, The Eagles, Val Halen and Aerosmith.
The Muskogee Bedouin Shrine may be best known for its colorful parades, its distinctive red fez, and its official philanthropy. This group of approximately 1,100 Shriner’s are excited to host this concert for the Muskogee area. The Temple is located at 201 S 6th in Muskogee, Okla. Open 8am to 5pm Monday thru Friday.
Muskogee was thrust into the world spotlight when country music star Merle Haggard recorded the song "Okie From Muskogee", an ode to "livin' right and bein' free." Nearly 40 years later, spending time in Muskogee is all about living right in a classic, free and easy western atmosphere, where music is still the rage. Home of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, Muskogee is a perfect location for this concert.
“This event will be a great addition to the music scene Muskogee has going. Outdoor concerts are a fun experience and are always great for the local economy.” Said Treasure McKenzie, Vice President of Tourism and Marketing for the Muskogee Chamber of Commerce.
