World Renown Science Guru and Entertainer Makes Science a Blast for Educators

OKLAHOMA CITY – April 9, the renowned science speaker Steve Spangler will bring his unique brand of science magic to a special Hands-on Science Secrets workshop for Oklahoma teachers.  Thanks to a partnership with the Oklahoma Museum Network and a grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, this workshop is open to all Oklahoma State Department of Education recognized public and private school teachers.

“He started a national YouTube frenzy with his exploding Mentos soda bottle trick, showed millions of people the magic of the science on national television shows like Ellen DeGeneres, and we are excited to have him come here to share his expertise,” said Sherry Marshall, director of the Oklahoma Museum Network.  “His perspective of science never fails to excite, baffle, surprise and ultimately educate everyone watching.”

The workshop will take place April 9 at Science Museum Oklahoma, hub museum of the Oklahoma Museum Network.  It is open to all Oklahoma public and private school teachers thanks to support provided by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.  If you are a school teacher that would like to attend Spangler’s workshop at Science Museum Oklahoma please visit the Oklahoma Museum Network website at or call 405-602-3760.  For more information on Steve Spangler please visit
