Talihina Fall Festival Host Wild West Town and Re-Enactors

Talihina’s Fall Foliage Festival will be held October 30 & 31 2010 from 8 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 8:30 am to 3 pm on Sunday at the Talihina Old Gym and Gym Parking Lot. With the Assistance of the Oklahoma Arts Council the festival will be able to provide artist to entertain at the festival. Both days of the festival there will be arts and crafts, food booths an art show and live entertainment. Saturday only there will also be a car show directed by John McLemore. Mr. Mac has been in charge of the car show from its inception. He has a great t-shirt design for this years car show. The car show will be on Saturday October 30, from 8am until 3 pm. The 5 K Run Begins at 9 am and it is a sanctioned run and sponsored by the Choctaw Nation Wellness Center. Chesapeake Energy has sponsored the inflatables again this year so the children can enjoy them free of charge. A new event has been added to the festival this year. An Old West Town will be set up at the festival with Shoot Outs and Re-Enactments Performed by the Law Breakers and Peace Makers. Four of the cast came to Talihina Thursday and met with Terry Transue, Entertainment Director and Vera Nelson, Talihina Chamber of Commerce Director to look over the lay of the land and see where the best spot for the Old West Town would Be.
