The Gospel According to Luke
By Tourism Industry Partner
April 15 and 16 at 7:00 PM April 17 at 2:00 PM
John H. Hansen presents his one-man show, The Gospel According to Luke, at the Broken Arrow Community Playhouse at 7:00 p.m. April 15 and 16 and at 2:00p.m.on Sunday April 17, 2011. In this dramatic narrative of the life of Christ, the audience will meet a broad and colorful tapestry of characters: gentle Mary, fiery John the Baptist, the snide and slightly insane Satan, blustery Simon Peter, haughty Pharisees, the vacillating and political Pontius Pilate, and many others. The show also contains some of the most familiar and beloved parables of Jesus, including the stories of The Prodigal Son, The Good Samaritan, and The Lost Sheep.
“The presentation is natural, lively, surprisingly humorous in places. It doesn’t set out to preach or proselytize—it simply tells the story.”
