By Tourism Industry Partner
Sponsored by Mathis Brothers as part of The Chickasaw Nation Classics Series
(Oklahoma City, OK) - The Oklahoma City Philharmonic presents "Two Aspects of Romanticism" as Pianist Jon Kimura Parker joins Maestro Joel Levine and the orchestra for an evening of Romanticism on Saturday, October 15 at 8PM at Civic Center Music Hall. This second concert of the 2011-2012 season features the magnificent Piano Concerto #3 by Russian master Sergei Rachmaninoff.
Maestro Levine leads the orchestra in the Symphony No. 3 ("Rhenish") by Robert Schumann in a concert that balances this music of the early Romantic Era with the massive sweep of the last of that period exemplified by the Rachmaninoff. Details on the program are available at www.okcphilharmonic.org/concerts.
Jon Kimura Parker is a frequent guest of the OKC Philharmonic and a favorite with audiences here and around the world. He is known as "Concerto Man!" for his genial presence and his extraordinary ability to keep a vast repertory of piano literature in his fingertips.
Tickets for this concert are $15, $22, $32, $42 and $52. Box seats are also available.
