The Singin’ Rage Miss Patti Page is going to be honored in the main event for Destination. FLIPSIDE: The Patti Page Story is a musical written by Greg White of Front Page Productions, with interviews and information from Patti to write this wonderful story about her life after her performance in Claremore during Destination 2010. The musical will be premiering at the Robson Performing Arts Center Thursday, May 3 at 4 pm; a second performance is Friday, May 4 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are on sale now! FLIPSIDE has recently received regional and national awards from the Kennedy Center Festival. These awards include Director’s Choice/ Best Represents the Region, National Kennedy Center Outstanding Honors for Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Director of a Musical (Greg White), Outstanding Sound Design (Sun Hee Kil), Outstanding Performance by an Actress (Haley Jane Pierce), and Outstanding Performance by a Guest Artist (Lindsie VanWinkle). The Kennedy Center Distinguished Nods for FLIPSIDE are as follows: Production of a New Work, Director of a New Work (Greg White), Choreography (Shannon Hurleigh), Costume Design (Corey Martin), Lighting Design (Art Whaley), Performance and Production Ensemble (Kassie Carroll, Jenny Rottmayer, Justin C. Larman, and Stephen Hilton). Other Kennedy Center Festival Awards include Commendations awarded to: Achievement in Musical Direction (Sandra Thompson), Achievement in Musical Arrangements (Zac Lee), Achievement in Vocal Arrangements (Melissa Griffith Edgmon), Achievement in Stage Management (Ben Whaley), Achievement in Wardrobe, Wig, and Hair Running Crew (Cate Wieck and Debra Reed) and Distinguished Musical Ensemble.


After FLIPSIDE, come join us at the Taste of Claremore hosted at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum Thursday, May 3 from 6 to 8 pm. Enjoy samples of all Claremore has to offer including restaurants, caterers, and wineries, as well as great entertainment from JT and the Big Band. Trust me, you won’t leave hungry! Tickets are available for purchase now from the Claremore Convention & Visitors Bureau, The Nut House, Will Rogers Memorial Museum, Walke Brothers Meats, Claremore Chamber of Commerce, or at the event. They are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 & under if purchased in advance; at the door they are $12 for adults and $7 for children.
