Transformers Weekend at the Toy & Action Figure Museum
By Tourism Industry Partner
Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26, 2011 , from 10am to 7pm and 1 to 5pm, is “Transformers Weekend” at The Toy & Action Figure Museum. The museum celebrates the July 1st opening of the latest Paramount Pictures release, ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon,' based on the famous toy line from the 1980's!
The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There's new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime "Transformers" character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
Cool movie memorabilia from Paramount Pictures will be available to visitors of the museum on Saturday/Sunday, June 25th and 26th from 10 – 7 and Sunday 1 – 5pm. There will also be one of the museum's famous Scavenger Hunts involving the classic Transformer toys from the '80's!
