(Miami, OK) – Twin Bridges State Park near Miami is once again hosting one of the largest displays of twinkling Christmas lights in the area.

During the Annual Twin Bridges Park of Lights, the park is transformed into an evening wonderland with bright lights and themed displays.  The dazzling drive-through exhibits are provided by businesses, churches, social groups, civic organizations and individuals.

“More than 20,000 visitors drive through the Park of Lights each year”, says Connie Payton, a Twin Bridges State Park supporter.  “This event continues to become bigger each year.  We are excited to have approximately forty displays that will take part this year.”

The Park of Lights is open from Thanksgiving Day through December 26 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Admission is free, but donations are welcome.  Proceeds will be used to fund park improvements.

Especially for kids, Santa himself will appear for pictures on December 11 and December 18 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Pictures will be available for five dollars each or parents can choose to take their own.  Visitors can also enjoy free hot dogs and drinks during picture time.

Twin Bridges State Park is one of fifty state parks in Oklahoma.  The park is located six miles east of Fairland or five miles south of Miami at the junction of Hwy 137 and Hwy 60.  For more information, call the park office at 918.542.6969.
