Visiting Pianist Performs Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin

(Norman, Okla) October 25, 2010— The University of Oklahoma School of Music presents the Norton Visiting Artist Series with a piano concert featuring Angela Cheng at 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, in Sharp Concert Hall. Cheng will also hold a master class from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 12, in Sharp Concert Hall. The master class is free and open to the public.
Her program for the concert includes Mozart’s “Sonata in C major KV330,” Beethoven’s “Sonata in A flat Major Op.110,” and Chopin’s “24 Preludes Op.28.”
Consistently cited for her brilliant technique, tonal beauty and superb musicianship, Cheng is one of Canada's brightest stars. She has appeared as soloist with virtually every orchestra in Canada, as well as the Birmingham Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic, Houston Symphony, Saint Louis Symphony, Syracuse Symphony, Utah Symphony and the Israel Philharmonic, among others.
