Rural Heritage Festival

Apr 26, 2014
Sat 10am-3pm

The Rural Heritage Festival is held annually in conjunction with Perry's Spring Fest, celebrating the area's heritage by stepping back into the early days of Oklahoma. Re-enactors will demonstrate lost arts such as rope making, blacksmithing, soap making, spinning, tatting and basket weaving. The highlight of the day will be the Morrison Elementary fourth grade children wrapping the brightly colored Maypole. Afterward, the children will march into the one-room schoolhouse for a sample day at school in 1910. Visitors are welcome to attend with them. Admission is free.
