"Meet Me at the Roundup!" Dewey Roundup Exhibit

Jul 3, 2012 - Jun 30, 2013
On display Mon-Fri 10am-4pm

The Dewey Roundup began in 1908 (continued until 1949) as a riding and roping contest to entertain Jacob Bartles’ Civil War comrades and evolved into one of the top roundup events in the world. The small sleepy town of Dewey swelled to well over capacity as people arrived from all over the world for this event. Through the history and photo legacies of Elmer Sark, Frank Griggs and a host of others, the Bartlesville Area History Museum is proud to celebrate the traditions of the Western cowboy with the museum's —Meet Me at the Roundup” exhibit. Please take a step back in time and experience history that has long intrigued many, while others have not forgotten.
