Allan Houser and His Students

In celebration of artist Allan Houser's 100th birthday, museums across Oklahoma are honoring his memory with exhibitions, each on a different subject. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum presents a look at House as a teacher and mentor. The installation includes works by Houser (1914-1994) from the permanent collection, along with those by students proteges such as Bob Hazaos, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, Harry Fonseca, Kevin Red Star, Doug Hyde, Robert Chee, Earl Biss, TC Cannon, and Fritz Scholder.
