Scenic campsites are available right at the water's edge at Lake Thunderbird State Park in Norman.  The park offers a variety of water recreation activities, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking and a nature center.
The towering pines of Cherokee Landing State Park provide shade and lend natural beauty to the campgrounds.  Cherokee Landing State Park is located in Park Hill just south of Tahlequah on Lake Tenkiller.

Turner Falls Park in Davis sports a 77-foot cascading waterfall.  It is a family hotspot with plenty of swimming holes and wading areas, hiking among the cliffs above the falls and camping.
