A peaceful evening at the Lake Hefner lighthouse in the East Wharf area where several popular restaurants are located on the shores of the Oklahoma City lake.
When it was built, the Murray-Lindsay Mansion was the largest and most ornate house in the western Chickasaw Nation, containing 15 rooms, two baths, and four fireplaces. There is also a 1908 Pikes Peak two-room school house on-site which is open for tours.
The Murray-Lindsay Mansion was the largest and most ornate home in the Chickasaw Nation area when it was built in 1880. Today, visitors can tour the 15-room mansion filled with period antiques as well as a two-room schoolhouse which is on the property.
