The "Old Round Barn" was built in 1898 on Route 66. After 90 years of existence, the roof collapsed in 1988 causing real structural damage. With the efforts of Luke Robison, a retired contractor from Oklahoma City and with able help of volunteers known as over-the-hill-gang, so named because most were all over 65 years of age, this landmark treasure was restored and officially open to the public in 1992. Listed in the National Register of Historical Places in 1977 and is the only wooden round barn in Oklahoma.. The upstairs loft is available for parties, weddings, fundraisers, meetings, and other special events. Exhibits and gift shop inside, with outdoor displays of primitive farm implements. Also houses the Arcadia Historical and Preservation Society.
