Our non-profit 501-c3 facility includes a free museum and research library building on a two-acre property. The research library consists of resource books, microfilm and computer access for the public for genealogy research in northeast Oklahoma, northwest Arkansas and the Cherokee Nation. The library/museum building contains a book store and gift shop. Other buildings on the property include a blacksmith shop, a post office building, a general store building and the Adair Building that holds large farm machinery. A recent addition to the property is the 1920's era, Springtown, Arkansas one-room school building, currently under renovation. Talbot's Historic School Restoration is an official project of the Oklahoma Centennial Commemoration and was funded in part through a grant made possible by the Oklahoma Legislature.
