Famous for its spring azaleas, the 130-acre park includes a well marked rose garden, trees, trails, ponds and an arboretum. Built as a tribute to World War I veterans, the park also features a stunning display of Christmas lights from late Nov through Dec. Favorite spots throughout the park include the Kirschner Fountain and Rose Garden wedding gazebo, where many portraits and ceremonies have taken place. The Azalea Festival also takes place in the park annually in April and Symphony in the Park in June.
