A non-profit community art center with an exhibition gallery and gift shop. The Firehouse Art Center is the largest of the state's regional art centers devoted exclusively to visual arts through studio classes, workshops, special programs and exhibitions. Housed in a former fire station, the art center includes a clay studio complete with a fireman's pole, studios for photography and jewelry, plus classroom studios for fiber arts, drawing and painting. The gift gallery features unique items including turned wood, stained and blown glass, pottery, fine jewelry and much more.
