The OSU Botanical Garden offers visitors a beautiful and peaceful repose, solitude and contemplation. With its permanent plant collections and seasonal gardens as living laboratories, it is a place to enjoy the diverse beauty that Oklahoma has to offer. The botanical garden is composed of 100 acres west of the Oklahoma State University campus and features over 1,000 species of herbaceous and woody plants, a tree arboretum, turf and nursery research centers, along with the Oklahoma Gardening studio set. Open to the public free of charge and maintained by the Horticulture and Landscape Architecture Department at Oklahoma State University. "Open House" is on the first and third Saturdays of the months, May through October, from 9:00am to 2:00pm. General Info: Free Admission Tour Group Services: Guided Tours, Tour Bus Parking Days/Hours Open: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 8am-5pm, and weekends. Please use walk through gate. Directions: 1 mile E of Stillwater on Hwy 51, turn N on Sangre Rd and go 1/2 mile. Go 1/4 mile E on Virginia, we are on S side of road.
