Nestled 10 miles outside of Stillwater, Lake McMurtry Natural Resource and Recreation Area is a quiet, family-friendly lake where you can be surrounded by beautiful scenery and end your day soaking up one of Oklahoma's gorgeous sunsets. Group facilities, picnic areas, outdoor grills, fire rings and restrooms are available on-site, as well as RV dump stations, fishing docks, boat ramps and a fishing house. Guests can also rent paddle boards and kayaks.
Campgrounds at Lake McMurtry include 24 RV campsites with electricity (30/50 amp), water, and dump stations and 22 tent campsites, which are mainly lakeside. Lake McMurtry also has seven gated campsites which are secluded and right on the water.
Lake McMurtry is open year round, 24 hours a day. Permits are required for daily and overnight use. Annual permits are available.
