Named for President Abraham Lincoln, Lincoln County is located in east-central Oklahoma. Early travel routes in the county included the West Shawnee Trail, the St. Louis and Oklahoma City Railroad, the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway and the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railway. Chandler sits along historic Route 66, and is home to the Route 66 Interpretive Center that features video archives of Route 66 and travel information.
