Located in eastern Oklahoma County, Choctaw is the oldest chartered town in the state. A visit to Choctaw isn’t complete without a meal from the Old Germany Restaurant & Turek’s Tavern. A Choctaw staple since 1976, this eatery specializes in delectable German, Rheingau Regional and German Old World Style cuisine.

The city is also home to the annual Choctaw Oktoberfest, a week-long celebration held during September that features over 30 German draught beers, international wine, continuous live entertainment, a German car show, German dance groups, craft vendors and, of course, delicious food.

Those seeking outdoor recreation will find a variety of options at Choctaw Creek Park, Ten Acre Lake or the Bouse Sports Complex. During the summer, bring the kids to the Barrel Springs Splash Pad, then stop by the Farmers Market for fresh produce.
