The Wilson Historical Museum serves as a repository for artifacts and information about the oil boom and railroading days of the early 20th century. This collection focuses on regional history including the town of Wilson, the surrounding oil field communities and south-central Oklahoma. The museum features period furnishings, as well as implements and pictures of residents. The museum's library contains copies of virtually all Wilson newspapers, obituaries, albums and an ever expanding genealogical collection. Visit the Wilson Historical Museum to browse their database containing over 10,000 obituaries and 3,000 pictures from Wilson and its surrounding communities.

The museum has produced several publications over the years with the latest being "Wilson, Oklahoma 1913 - 1939: Anatomy of an Oil Boom Town" by Carole Gandy Pinches. This is a well-written 640 page reference book that contains hundreds of pictures and a full index. This book is an excellent publication referencing Wilson and its surrounding communities.
