Whistle Stop Bistro
There’s nothing fancy about the Whistle Stop, it’s just delicious, homemade mom-and-pop-type foods, as owner Cokie Trendle says. There’s something here for everybody – meat loaf, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy, salads and burgers. There’s even a local favorite, a Russian-German dish called Bierox – hamburger, cabbage, onions and a variety of seasonings, loaded into a house bread and baked.
