Tonkawa's McCarter Museum houses early day artifacts of Indian history, Three Sands Oil Fields, WWII Prisoner of War Camp, Northern Oklahoma College and the pioneers. These memories and artifacts all are displayed in a unique and interesting way at this one-of-a-kind museum. A WWII POW Camp is marked on site with a monument, one mile north of Tonkawa. Tonkawa's Centennial project includes a heart-shaped labyrinth and is adjacent to Centennial Park. Visit Centennial Park to walk a unique trail and see a beautiful view of the Tulsa skyline.
