Wilburton is a small town with a lot to offer. Tucked into the scenic San Bois Mountains of southeast Oklahoma, Wilburton is the home of Robbers Cave State Park, where thousands of visitors flock each year for camping, hiking, spelunking, boating, fishing, ATV riding, canoeing and horseback riding at the Robbers Cave Stables.
Within the park, you’ll find nearly 200 campsites, 26 cabins and the 20-room Belle Starr View Lodge. More adventurous campers will enjoy the yurts and lake huts, while larger groups will enjoy the two group camp facilities. The park also offers unique attractions like a miniature train and surrey bike rentals.
Each October, Wilburton hosts the Robbers Cave Fall Festival, which features over 200 arts and craft vendors, amusement rides, live entertainment and the Fall Foliage Cruise — a gathering of over 500 custom and classic pre-1984 rides. This much-loved autumn event draws as many as 80,000 people over the three-day festival.
