Newt Graham Lock & Dam 18 Visitor Center
The Newt Graham Lock & Dam 18 near Inola off of Highway 412 is home to the USACE Robert F. Hunter Visitor Center. This two-story facility is open to the public and offers great views of the barges locking though heading up and down the MCKARNS River System. Inside the visitor center, there are a number of interactive displays including an ever-expanding selection of new technology like augmented reality, virtual reality, 360 experiences and interpretive panels. On-site restrooms and a picnic area are also available. In addition, free water safety items like life jackets are also given out at the visitor center.
