Chouteau Lock & Dam 17 Visitor Center
The Chouteau Lock and Dam 17 was primarily constructed for commercial barge traffic along the Arkansas River and its tributaries. Chouteau Lock and Dam 17 features a wonderful, free visitors center. Enjoy the views of barges locking through and check out interpretive displays on the MKARNS River System and history of navigation. Restrooms and a picnic area are also available.
Please note the Jean Pierre Chouteau Trail within this area is no longer maintained.
