Enjoy Cherokee art, culture and history at the Cherokee Nation Anna Mitchell Cultural & Welcome Center, located just off of I-44 in Vinita. The center offers permanent and rotating exhibits, indoor and outdoor art installations, refreshments, EV charging stations and a gift shop. It also serves as a Cherokee community space for meetings, events and classes. The 9,400-square-foot, two-story stone building is situated on 8 acres overlooking historic Route 66.

The center is named after the renowned Cherokee National Treasure Anna Mitchell, a trailblazing artist and authority on both Southeastern and Eastern Woodlands-style Native American pottery. Mitchell was designated a Cherokee National Treasure in 1988 for revitalizing this art and sharing her knowledge and skills.
